Music

I've been playing the piano for quite some time and have always enjoyed improvisation - perhaps a little too much. Anyway, for my last birthday, along with my incredible iMac, I got a keyboard to use with GarageBand (a great music program). Recently, I bought an expansion pack which pretty much gives me all the instruments of a symphony orchestra, so I can jam away.
My current reportoire is small, but growing.

Carol of the Bells
My entry into the 8th "Cover This Song Contest" on Brickfilms.com. It ended up being slightly too surreal, but it still isn't bad in my opinion.

Within
This piece features some fast staccato strings; I like it quite a lot and used it for a timelapse video of clouds seen from my (old) room that I posted on YouTube.

Metropolis
I called it Metropolis because it reminds me of a giant city like a beehive, with things going on below and above the surface. It was inspired by some of the work of the Italian composer Nino Rota (who scored The Godfather, as well as several films by Federico Fellini).

Untitled Instrumental Piece
Chosen1, a brickfilms member and a co-author of The Brickfilmers' Guide podcast, asked me to do a short piece to help him in his (successful) campaign for the Brickfilms.com Minister of Sound (yeah, it's like 1984), the person in charge of the sound library and sound-related resources. This song is in 7/4 meter and in a major key, which is unusual since I'm more of a minor-key person.

Battle Theme
My first piece with the Symphony Orchestra Jam Pack. I'm not very satisified with the percussion and the timing, but it's still OK enough to put online. I may redo it someday.
